Scum’s Wish is an anime series based on the manga of the same name by Mengo Yokoyari. It follows the lives of two high school students, Hanabi Yasuraoka and Mugi Awaya, who are in a fake relationship to cope with their unrequited love for their respective teachers. However, their arrangement soon becomes complicated by the involvement of other people, such as Hanabi’s childhood friend and Mugi’s former girlfriend. The anime explores the themes of love, lust, jealousy, and self-worth in a realistic and mature way.
